So do you think John Henry will someday trade the Boston Globe for some player for the Red Sox?

After all, he's paying more for Dustin Pedroia or John Lackey than he paid the NY Times for the paper.

Long-ago Sox owner Harry Frazee traded a young pitcher to the Yankees for money to mount a production of a play called "My Lady Friends".

Turned out the kid could field, too. And hit. It was Babe Ruth.

(Some versions of this story give the play as "No, No, Nanette". It's a musical based on the play "My Lady Friends".)
