Long-ago Sox owner Harry Frazee traded a young pitcher to the Yankees for money to mount a production of a play called "My Lady Friends".

Turned out the kid could field, too. And hit. It was Babe Ruth.

(Some versions of this story give the play as "No, No, Nanette". It's a musical based on the play "My Lady Friends".)
