Pranksters page Nick Saban at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
As rumors about Mack Brown’s future at Texas continue to heat up, some enterprising fans are doing their best to keep Nick Saban’s name in the coaching search mix, including by trolling Austin’s airport.
Several reports surfaced Tuesday morning that someone paged Saban over the intercom at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The page said a car was waiting for him.
Of course, this was just hilarious trolling. Saban didn’t come running out of the terminal into a waiting town car. Sorry, wishful thinkers.
As of Tuesday, Texas had not made an announcement regarding Brown’s future, but Chip Brown of OrangeBloods.com cited sources saying Brown would step down this week.
But until then, Troll Tide.
