the end of questions yesterday..... he did answer may-be two questions and then this "we made some good plays, and we made some sh*tty plays, thank you" and then he walked off the podium. Why isn't anyone talking about that rude, punkish behavior . So glad the patriots lost.

(16,113 posts)I didn't hear anyone ask any questions as he was walking off. Sound like you're just looking for a reason to call Brady names. This is the sports forum, you don't really need a reason to do that. Well, there's always his man-uggs.
Shanahan did the same thing the other day, and I'm sure the press has a lot more questions for him.

(9,527 posts)when his wife threw the other players under the bus. At least this time, Tom didn't hide behind her.
But if the media wanted to go after Tom Brady's punkish behavior, they have plenty of examples every time he gets sacked, or a receiver drops a pass and he goes screaming and crying for a penalty. It's never that the other team made a good play, it's that they must have been doing something illegal. But maybe that's because he plays for a coach who institutionalized cheating so he assumes everybody else does too.
But the bigger issue is that the media as a whole doesn't ask questions of football players (or athletes in general). Why hasn't there been more made out of the fact that 8 Seattle Seahawks have been busted for PEDs in the last 3 years? Why did it take so long to question the long term health impact of concussions? Of how the NFL can say they are taking player safety seriously when they are at the same time trying to get 18 games instead of 16?

(32,068 posts)as much as I love Aaron Rodgers he didn't take a cut in pay so that the team could flourish. Brady did that and Wes still left. He has carried his team this year - there is no reason to call him out.

(32,068 posts)he's 30 years old and signed his contract for 5 years this past spring:
Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have agreed on a five-year, $110 million contract extension, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Rodgers is guaranteed an NFL-record $62.5 million, sources told Schefter, which includes the three-year cash total and guarantee in the contract.
The deal will also set the highest salary per season in NFL history, eclipsing the $120.6 million over six years the Baltimore Ravens gave quarterback Joe Flacco in March.

That is just for playing and is the highest in the NFL - doesn't include all the commercials he does in the Green Bay area etc (and he does a lot of that). He held out for the big $$$ for himself and he got it.
I love the Packers too. I grew up within 2 hours of Lambeau. But I'm not blind - he was thinking about himself and now we sit with a team that is 7-6-1.

(16,113 posts)with his contract, go talk to Joe Flacco. The NFL's second highest paid QB has a worse QB rating than Matt Shaub who LOST his job on the NFL's worst team. I bet with Anquan Boldin and a few defensive upgrades and the Ravens would easily be looking at a bye week this year instead of struggling to just win 10 games. Rodgers still has plenty of time to "restructure" his deal (as does Flacco), but neither should get credit for doing so until they actually do it.
