It's only a game

"I regret calling Mr. Smart a 'piece of crap' but I want to make it known that I did not use a racial slur of any kind." -- Texas Tech fan Jeff Orr

I don't care what Orr said. With rare exception collegiate and pro athletes give it their all when they hit the playing field. Orr can call Marcus Smart any name or shout any put-down he wants in the anonymity of a crowd or from the living room sofa, but when you do it to a players face in the heat of competition, you're pushing your luck. So Smart lands in your lap while trying to make a great play. Show some civility and respect for the effort he puts forth for the sake of your entertainment. And if you can't respond with anything but a put-down, then don't say anything.

Yes, Smart over-reacted and the suspension is warranted, but he'll learn from this. Jeff Orr will be a douchebag forever.
