Pleasantly surprised to see all three women in the top 6...the commie Russian who the judges are trying to rig it for must have really messed up to get down to 4th...if memory serves me, Caroline Kostner always does well in the short then drops in the long...Gracie Gold is in a particualrly good position at 3.

so devoid of expressiveness and personality and so removed from her music, she seems to be a computer-generated movie image. You can't be ALL technical. And the problem isn't her age -- look at how much more human fellow 15-year old Tara Lipinsky looked while skating her way to gold in 1998.

She has no emotion in her performance at all. It's twirl, jump, spin, etc.

And she fell today. She lost a point for that alone

P.S. Ashley Wagner is in contention for an iron(y) medal -- she got on the Olympic team though she fell down two times, and she's finished behind someone who fell down two times!

12. Just finished watching Adelina Sotnikova -- just as I suspected

she was neither substantially better than Kostner nor almost as good as Kim. Gold has too much ground to make up and not enough originality to make it up with, but I'll root for her. The fix is on...

I didn't see men figure skating, but from what has been reported, Japanese figure skater fell twice but still won a gold medal. Why isn't anyone complaining? If Russian figure skater fell twice but won gold, I bet we would never hear the end of it.
