Ray Rice knocked fiancee out

Running back Ray Rice struck his fiancée with his hand, rendering her unconscious, according to a summons obtained by ESPN.

Rice and his fiancée were both arrested for simple assault after an incident early Saturday at a casino in Atlantic City, N.J. Rice and the woman "struck each other with their hands," according to an Atlantic City police report.

A video obtained and posted online by TMZ on Wednesday shows Rice lifting the woman by her arms out of an elevator at the Revel Casino and laying her on the ground. She appears limp as he pulls her legs away from the elevator doors and later props her up.

Rice's attorney, Michael Diamondstein, told The Baltimore Sun that the footage is authentic but incomplete. The prosecutor's office released a statement saying the case has been referred to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office for review.

regardless of the gender of the victim.

And you're physically aggressive with people for a living, one of your job duties is conducting a little extra self control when you're off duty. Also, note how he treats his fiancee like a sack of potatoes. But I suppose she'll refuse to press charges.

and I hope she presses charges. That's not the result of a simple "striking of the hands."

Ray's behavior in the video is appalling.

blaming the Ravens for this. I'm not sure how the post would fall into the category of "santimonious shit".

So are you going to give all bad behavior by NFL players a pass from now on, as long as they aren't accused of murder, or just your guys?

Get a grip.

said Rice is a man of high character.

Hopefully he is successfully prosecuted for this and he can get whatever help he needs to understand it's not okay to hit your significant other.
