INDIANAPOLIS — Ohio State was finished.

After leading by as much as eight points in the first half, Nebraska used a huge run late in the first half and into the second to surge out to a 48-30 lead with 13:45 left.

But sparked by sophomore guard Amedeo Della Valle and the scoring prowess of junior forward LaQuinton Ross, the Buckeyes fought their way all the way to steal a 71-67 win Friday and advance to the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament.

A dunk by junior forward Sam Thompson made the score 58-56 with 4:42 left, as OSU’s pressure defense caused problems for the Cornhuskers.

Ross made two free throws to tie the game at 63 with 1:52 remaining, and OSU took the lead for the first time since there was one minute remaining in the first half on it’s next possession after he made two more.

I had pretty much lost hope, but then here came Della Valle! This is one of the most frustrating Buckeye teams in memory. You never know how they're gonna play. They can beat anybody, and lose to anybody.

.... country and for some spurts they have played better then anything I have
ever scene but other times they look like they are running in mud.

After Amedeo went coast to coast w/ a rebound I took the dog for a walk because
they had been looking so f***ing bad .... I came back and they had cut the lead from
18 to 9 points and after that they just dropped the hammer on those Corn Lovers.

BTW with 5 minutes to go Craft just stoned Nebraska's Terran Petteway on defense.

BTW the students @ the game loves themselves some Amedeo ..... it is really funny to watch
