I'm no baseball guy so I could be totally wrong... but what I saw was an extremely weak attempt at interference, where he did little more than slide toward the fielder and brush his ankle with his hand.

Maybe intent is all that matters?

And as with everything else in baseball as it should be (here I do have a strong opinion - NO REPLAY REVIEWS!!!), I guess if the ump says it's interference (or a ball or a strike...), then I guess it is!
