Media antics have turned in his favor -- his Beast Mode clothing line sold out, while potential sponsors are lined up.
As San Francisco Chronicle columnist Al Saracevic reports, it has all the makings of a set-up.
A pop-up store Lynch set up to sell his brand merchandise in nearby Scottsdale, Ariz., was overrun with customers after his (Super Bowl) media day appearance. The Beast Mode hat he wore on TV sold out online. The ad he did with Skittles that debuted last week has received more than 4 million views on YouTube. Lynch even starred in a Progressive Insurance ad that spoofed his disdain for the media.

One thing about Lynch that softens my opinion of him: the guy gives back to his home town via his Fam 1st Family Foundation and to his home town high school in Oakland, California. He's generous with his time and makes himself available to young athletes.
As Saracevic concludes:
Yet the media perception hes built is that of an arrogant athlete; someone who could not care less what society thinks. Turns out, society is fine with that. The Lynch fan club is bigger than ever.
