(13,447 posts)it's one thing to still hate Penn State given what's happened there (God knows MANY people still do), but put the hatred on hold when it comes to fundraising for cancer. Though I do think that first girl was taunting him with the initial tweet. Still, he should've sucked it up and ignored it.

(56,177 posts)Too much is done on the spur of the moment. Some people, like Patton Oswalt, tweet well, they tweet only when something is well thought-out

(9,350 posts)Keith Olbermann should not have been suspended. If Keith Olbermann should have been suspended then every on air employee of ESPN should be fired, starting with Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless. I like their show, but I think they say much worse things every day.
So, he gave his opinion that Penn State students are "pitiful", poorly educated, and unethical. ESPN should have just said Olbermann has a right to his opinion, but the network does not agree with his opinion. I do not think the tweets from Olbermann rose to the level of something deserving a suspension.
