Billionaire Tom Benson trial resumes in New Orleans
San Antonio and New Orleans billionaire Tom Benson appeared in a New Orleans civil court Monday to continue his legal fight to maintain control of his business empire.
He is being sued by his daughter, Renee Benson, and her children, who seek control of his companies, including the NFL New Orleans Saints and the NBA New Orleans Pelicans. Renee Benson claims her father, 87, is unable to make estate decisions. They also attended the trial Monday.
The civil court trial in New Orleans is expected to last several more days.
