http://deadspin.com/sepp-blatter-will-resign-updating-1708471332I guess FIFA is going to be OK now. Right?? No more corruption.
Sepp Blatter is no longer the president of everybody. The scandal-wracked FIFA head has announced he will resign, and a special session of congress will be held to elect his successor.
It is not clear what changed between Blatters reelection to a fifth term on Friday and todays announcement. though the paper trail tying FIFAs No. 2 official to a purported bribe for World Cup votes may have been a major development. We have to assume there is much more coming, or that the ongoing U.S. Swiss investigations into FIFA corruption are expected to implicate more and higher-level executives.
It looks like the DOJ was after him as well. And well the Women's World Cup does start this week. I guess he didn't want to get too close to the US!!

in Qatar, and the place promptly gets raided, because of course there are no legal bars in Qatar.
