A whole lot of happy humans in the windy city tonight. Me included. Well done!

The only downside, is now we have to watch baseball until the Bears kick off.

(5,604 posts)This Leafs fan was pulling for Chicago, since (sadly) looong before the end of the regular season.
And vibes for Stan Mikita, whom I just read today, has become very much afflicted with Dementia as of late and doesn't even know or understand the win tonight.

(1,937 posts)Stash was not only a great player, but also a tremendous individual.
He did a lot of work with hearing impaired youth hockey.
I'm prejudiced as Stan gave me a personalized game stick from his last season

Stan has always been my favorite Blackhawks. I got to meet him many years ago. Such a nice, down-to-earth guy! (As were the other teammates of his that I've gotten to meet.) This breaks my heart.

(32,088 posts)Poor Michal Rozsival was returning from Florida and got delayed. He made it back just after his teammates hoisted the cup, which was also late. Damn shame. Trevor van Riemsdyk's brothers made it in time to see the last 8 minutes of the game. Poor James. He's played 400+ games, and no Cup. His little brother plays 22, and the rest is history.
