I'm surprised by the 49ers

They looked better than I would have ever imagined. Credit goes to new OC Geep Chryst with designing plays to help a weak right offensive line while spreading the ball around to nearly all the ball handlers. I liked Eric Mangini's aggressive defensive play. Colin Kaepernick looked much more at ease throwing the ball after all those off season hours of practice. And Carlos Hyde ran for 168 yards in a dazzling starting debut. Good start for new head coach Jim Tomsula.

Yeah -- I noticed the TE sets. 49ers pulled their left guard a lot too. Auggie Sep 2015 #2

That being said, those 3 TE sets were incredible. Great way to help out what is a pretty shitty line for the 9ers and it clearly confused the Vikes D.

Unrelated, I wanted to strangle Trent Dilfer.

What was amazing is how Hyde could reverse his direction so quickly when the right side bogged down.

So the $64,000 question (for both teams) is how they react to the adjustments they'll see next week. Vikings need to handle those blitzes.
