Do we add Curry's 402 three-pointers to the list of improbable-to-be-broken records?

I think so. It takes a certain player, a certain team make-up, and a specific coaching philosophy to attain numbers like that. Getting the stars to align in just the right order requires a certain amount of luck/karma also. Just like Ricky Henderson's stolen base records, Jerry Rice's TDs, DiMaggio's hitting streak and Aaron's home runs.

The win at San Antonio the other night not only made 73 possible, it put paid to the Spurs' own 48-game (did I get that right, El? ) home streak, which was by far the longest active one.

A player just needs a whole lot of talent and opportunity, and I think he'll have plenty of both next year. If he has the motivation to do so, I don't see why he couldn't break his own record.

I think someone could break the record if they actually tried to break the record. How many guys attempt as many three pointers as Curry attempts? I more guys start attempting three pointers this record could fall easily.
