Do You Agree With Jason Whitlock?

In this clip Jason Whitlock claims Kobe Bryant destroyed the Lakers. Whitlock also said Kobe only imitated Michael Jordan, and was the "most fraudulent super star celebrity athlete". So, what is your opinion of what Jason Whitlock said?

As a local and life long Laker fan, I stopped being a Kobe fan some years ago. His selfishness and oversized ego destroyed the continuity we've enjoyed for decades. I have watched him use his influence with the management to destroy the careers of several excellent players and cause any possible chemistry to be undermined unless he was the focal point.
Good/great player that took way more than he gave. IMO.

And my point was, the past 5 years in particular--Kobe refused to adjust his game to create a transitional atmosphere. The "ballhog " label was well deserved and not helpful to team camaraderie necessary to win titles or games, for that matter.

Kobe brought much, but imo, spoil the near future.

And I'm not mad about those 5 championships, but we could have had more.....

both helped and hindered the Lakers. He played a huge role in their 5 championships during his 20 year career as a Laker, being among the highest active scorers during his prime. What he did to hinder the team was being selfish with the ball, the drama surrounding the adultery about a decade ago, and he could've been a little friendlier to his teammates.

Without reading it. Him and Colin Cowherd are scourges on sports broadcasting. It all began with Skip Bayless and Stephen A.

argument. I think he was a great player, but after he got the first few championships, I think his attitude changed a good bit. It wasn't about the rings anymore, it wasn't about the fans, it was about "the Mamba".

I watched a decent bit of the final game in both disbelief and shock at the adulation he was getting as they fed him the ball and everyone cheered the Lakers to their SEVENTEENTH WIN of the season. I think most NBA HoF's (which Bryant will be) would have been ashamed at going out on such a spectacle.

And Kobe delivered 5 of them. Whitlock's opinion is dumb.
