Social media, memes roast Tony Romo and his latest injury

It seemed the second that Seattle lit up Tony Romo's back, social media lit up with memes and tweets of Romo's latest injury.

And when news hit Saturday that the Cowboy's crystalline QB had broken a bone in his back and would be out until mid-season, well that was just gas on the fire.

From the usual crying Jordan to some pretty funny Brokeback Mountain memes, here are some of the best social media slights poking fun at Texas' most broken quarterback.

He was sliding to avoid contact when a defender came behind him and bent his back forward awkwardly.

http://www.theonion.com/article/tony-romo-practicing-for-first-time-since-surgery--33253

According to sources inside the Dallas Cowboys training staff, quarterback Tony Romo returned to the practice field Thursday for the first time since undergoing surgery to remove a painful ovarian cyst. “Tony appears to have responded well to the procedure, and given the rate at which his ovarian cyst was growing, I'm glad we got in there when we did,” said Dr. Peter Baskin, who removed the four inch fluid-filled sac after the signal-caller reported constant abdominal discomfort during voluntary OTA’s. “If we had waited any longer, it very well could have spread to his uterus. Hopefully Tony can still have children.” Baskin told reporters that there will most likely be some scarring along the fallopian tubes, but Romo’s range of motion should remained unaffected.

7. Douchebags. Making fun of an injury. It's definitely not an injury of his making, like

the QB who tried to spike the ball of the goal post and broke his throwing hand.

I'm sure the same douchebags were making fun of Joe Theismann when Taylor snapped Joe's lower leg.

9. Theismann is a douchebag, but I don't want to see anyone injured (intentional or unintentional).
