Lin your face!!!

New Orleans 89, New York 85.

It is no exaggeration to say that this is the second most important win in New Orleans sports history, eclipsed only by Super Bowl XLIV. The homecoming parade for the victorious Hornets has been scheduled for Tuesday. Here's a sample of what you can expect:

C'mon, Knicks. Stoudemire and what's-his-face combined for 52 out of 82? That's not gonna cut it down the stretch or in the playoffs.

Tebow will mention it all the time unprompted. He mentions his faith in a couple of articles but that is the only place that I see it. I think maybe he was probably asked a question involving Tebow and he mentions it.

Besides, he is hardly the only publicly religious athlete. This probably isn't a great example as I believe you root against the Cardinals in general but Fitzgerald often mentions his faith on his Twitter account, signs many posts with FFF which is Faith, Focus, Finish. He also sometimes mentions it in medium-long interviews that you probably haven't seen because they're done by local news & local sports channels. If that isn't enough, he often credits Kurt Warner in helping him become a better person and football player.

Fitzgerald is hardly alone, Mike James who was cut for Lin mentions that it was god's plan or something along the lines. I hear it all the time from many athletes, my point is this--Tebow does it too much, but I feel Lin doesn't display it any more than most athletes. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if not there's plenty of athletes to root against.

I'm in San Jose, which is right next door to a place called Santa Clara, where they will be going for their annual beatdown by the Niners in a few years. Nothing personal.

Lin is only now becoming a public figure. It remains to be seen whether or not he will go the Teblow route. As for Fitzgerald, there's another prominent NFL payer who puts PFJ (Play for Jesus) on his shoes. That player is none other than Ben Rapelisberger. Now there's a fine Christian role model for you. Believe me, I root against them all. It's just that Lin's 15 minutes of fame happen to be right now.

You know that they are still controlled still by the mafioso's family.

Yeah. Now them there's some serious Christian Values, verily similar to Rick Santorum's.
