(36,444 posts)2. Bruce Bochy has used Bumgarner as a pinch hitter a few times
Down the road, if Bumgarner gets traded to the American League, he conceivably could become a DH WHILE he was still pitching, and that might just win him an asterisk in the record book.

(16,113 posts)7. Yes, it's all relative. Last year in spring training, he was the poster boy for type II diabetes,
this year he looks like just another heavy guy. At least it looks like he can play a few innings without having a heart attack now. I'm not sure, but I'll bet they still have a "food handler" for him.
