1. When we lived in Hot Springs

we'd always go to the track for Derby day...I always take the winner of the Arkansas Derby in the Kentucky Derby...as per tradition, I shall be taking Classic Empire!

2. It was a great race....

....and I, also, will be taking Classic Empire in the Derby. He has had a very troubled Derby prep season but I believe him to be the most talented colt in his crop.

I've never been to Oaklawn but it is one of the places on my bucket list.

3. Derby day is the only day

they open up the infield to spectators....highly recommend going for the Derby!

4. Who was the #6 horse?

He had to check several times in the stretch. Looked like he was full of run.

5. Lookin At Lee....

....he's a come from the back type of horse. He's bred to get 10f, easy. He's finished well in all his stakes attempts.

8. If it rains you are really gonna like him....

....looks like an Exaggerator kinda horse. He worked this morning over a muddy Churchill track and he looked like he loved it.

7. My choice this year is going to be "Always Dreaming"

I can't believe I'm picking a horse trained by Todd Pletcher because I really don't like him, but Baffert doesn't have any entries that I see. I liked the look of Always Dreaming in the Florida Derby.

Onward to the Run For The Roses!!!! May the best 2-year old win!

9. He's a nice horse....

....and yeah, it's hard to root for Pletcher. But I do like his one-eyed horse, Patch and hope he does well.
