Instead of a Dream team, what do you think would happened if we just sent the Warriors as is. Do you think that they could win?

(17,865 posts)unless that team had significant time to prepare. You could perhaps take the nucleus of the Cavaliers and add one or two All Stars to it to win against the Warriors without additional preparation.
Here is an article talking about the 2016 NBA team and one of the limitations it had.

The team has played against the best the world has to offer -- low as that bar is -- with just three weeks of practice time together. There are very few existing relationships on this team, and there isn't the chemistry that the 2012 team enjoyed from their training in 2008 and to a degree in 2010. This squad features many new members of Team USA's actual roster.

(65,212 posts)They've got 2 superstars, 3 other VERY good overall players, they're super deep, and they have 3 of the best 5 shooters on the planet.
And, they have both an offensive and defensive systems that the players already know like the back of their hand.
They'd kill international competition.
