This went unnoticed by most of the national media, of course

But it was a heck of a sports weekend in southeast Michigan. Pistons beat the Celtics again, Red Wings won their 23rd straight at home, Michigan beat Ohio State in basketball, swept its hockey series, and has six (or maybe seven, can't remember exactly) 2013 football recruits commit in one day.

Best sports state, hands down. Michigan!
