State assembly passes resolution naming 12/12/12 'Aaron Rodgers Day'

The state Assembly has passed a resolution to name a day after Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, following an effort spawned through Facebook by a woman from Stevens Point.

The chamber voted unanimously Tuesday to support the bipartisan proposal designating Dec. 12, 2012, as Aaron Rodgers Day.

Rodgers, who wears No. 12, led the Packers to a Super Bowl victory last year and helped them to a 15-1 regular season record this past season, earning the National Football League Most Valuable Player award.

18 state representatives and 10 state senators from both parties introduced the legislation.

Don't mean to slam your post SM. Great news for Aaron Rodgers, yada, yada, yada. But this kind of shit lawmakers pull every so often really gets under my skin. Doesn't help people trying to make ends meet.

Rodgers is a great player, and good guy, but I don't think he deserves a day named in his honor.

It's what we do. I'm kind of happy that I can call up my relatives on that day and say, "Happy Aaron Rodgers Day!" Because I guess I'm nutty like that too.

Oh, and BTW, fuck Aaron Rodgers, who opposes same sex marriage.

Go Pack Go.

I hope I am not judged for the stupid shit my brother says/does. That says more about the accuser than the accused.
