The noise surrounding a potential partnership between Kevin Durant and LeBron James is only growing.
Brandon 'Scoop B' Robinson reported on Monday that Kevin Durant is 'planning' to move to the Lakers and join LeBron James.
This is not the first time we've heard this as a possibility as Stephen A. Smith suggested that James was lobbying Durant to opt out this season and join him on the Lakers.
While the Lakers decision to waive Luol Deng saved them money but also made it nearly impossible for a Jimmy Butler trade, but Deng also waiving over seven million dollars will allow them to pursue Durant in free agency.

with four other all stars and has won the finals MVP two years running.
No reason at all to leave the team that all the others are chasing.

(65,110 posts)I suppose either of them could play stretch 4, but that makes one of them a spot up shooter, and that's not what either of them does.
Technically, they're both 3's. And you can't move either to 2 without compromising the growth of Kuzma.
Last point, by the time they are really ready to compete, 3 of the "new" guys will be on their last legs, and the mileage will start to catch up to Lebron by playoff time.
This not only doesn't work for Durant, it doesn't work for the Lakers either.
