Report: Seahawks want 'at least' a first-round pick for Frank Clark
The Seahawks appear to have set parameters for the worth of Frank Clark.
Seattle is "still" considering trading the 25-year-old pass rusher, and any deal for him would have to include at least a first-round draft pick, according to a report over the weekend from ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Trade speculation around Clark had grown in the lead up to Russell Wilson's NFL-record deal the belief being the Seahawks couldn't (or wouldn't) pay the defensive end when the franchise quarterback needed to be rewarded, and an All-Pro middle linebacker in Bobby Wagner that needed to be paid as well and has continued into the lead up of Thursday's NFL draft.
Seattle in March slapped the non-exclusive franchise tag on Clark, what will pay him a fully guaranteed one-year salary of $17.128 million for 2019. But Clark has yet to sign the tag and the NFL Network reported that he's threatened to skip training camp without a new extension in hand.
