Barkley appalled by 'punk' who turned in Gregg Williams

Charles Barkley doesn't care about bounties. He cares about the people who talk about bounties.

"You have to be a punk to snitch that out," Barkley told radio host Dan Patrick about the guy who turned in Saints coach Gregg Williams. "That's like giving a reporter an anonymous quote."

Kind of like honor among thieves...cheating is ok, but calling out someone about it is what's bad, according to him.

All this holier than thou hand wringing over what has always been part of the game is just pathetic.

Do you know how many times the Saints were fined for illegal hits during Williams' tenure? Four.

There was no rampant headhunting or any of that shit. And the players, the people who have to go out in that environment, have no problem with it.

Am I supposed to believe the commissioner gives a shit about player safety when he proposes an 18 game schedule? Seriously?

Let's be honest, everyone knows about it, has always known about it and no one cares because that's the game. The big hits are the selling point. The violence is the selling point.

I don't think it was a player that ratted. Probably a front office puke.

In both sports. Acting as if this is something new is ridiculously naive.
