According to a shirt worn earlier in the week by Browns Coach Freddie Kitchens, Pittsburgh started it. After all but ending Clevelands playoff hopes Sunday, Steelers players criticized the opposing coach for providing extra motivation and putting his players in harms way.
I thought it was pretty stupid, Pittsburgh offensive lineman David DeCastro said of the shirt after his teams 20-13 win over the Browns. Thats a lot of bulletin board material. I dont know why you do that as a coach. I just dont get that.
Of course its going to motivate us, DeCastro continued, via cleveland.com. What are you thinking? Its just not smart.
The message on the shirt was a reference to a brawl that broke out between the Browns and Steelers at the end of their previous game, a Cleveland win on Nov. 14 that was marred by its star defensive player, Myles Garrett, hitting Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph on the head with the latters helmet. Garrett, who was suspended indefinitely, contended that Rudolph used a racial slur, an accusation the quarterback denied.

Kitchens just handed Browns GM John Dorsey and owner Jimmy Haslam another reason -- perhaps the best reason -- for firing his ass. Question is, will they do the right thing?

(14,176 posts)Pittsburgh Steelers fans asked for it, so Dan Rugh delivered.
He whipped up a T-shirt design boasting: Pittsburgh finished it, and put it up for sale after the Steelers defeated the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Who am I to keep them from having the shirt that they wanted? said Rugh, co-owner of Commonwealth Press, which has a warehouse in Beltzhoover.
The shirt came in response to Cleveland-based GV Art + Design companys tee that proclaimed Pittsburgh started it, referring to the fight between the Steelers and Browns during their Nov. 14 game.
