Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be the first NFL team to host the Super Bowl at home

No team has ever played a Super Bowl in its home stadium. Crazy that it took this long for it to happen.

The NFL will allow a crowd of 22,000 fans for the event, including 7,500 vaccinated health care workers invited free of charge for their live-saving services during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Bucs ride a seven-game win-streak into the Super Bowl, cruising through a playoff schedule that was entirely on the road. Tampa Bay would post a score differential of +23 through the first three rounds and scored 30+ points in each game.

Although quarterback Tom Brady and his offense were able to put up points over the course of the playoffs, Tampa Bay can thank its defense for a strong showing over the last three weeks in order to reach the big game. The Bucs were able to score 41 points off of seven turnovers throughout the postseason.

Tampa apparently is highly regarded for their strip clubs. I heard a former Seahawk talk about how playing at Tampa was always a headache. They had someone show up for the game in the second quarter.

with Manning. Brady is definitely a better QB than Manning that year, but Rogers was by far the better QB today. Two of Brady's interceptions were just pass punts (granted one on 2nd down) so they didn't hurt too much. Still with reduced skill Brady knows how to manage a game - much like Manning did.

That defense though. To shut down Rogers down like that.

By the way the Green Bay defense sucked.

No doubt. Case closed. TB is the team it is because of Brady and the talent and culture he brought around him. Rogers is a better physical QB especially when he has to improvise. Some of Brady's passes today didn't look too good.

But, as much as I'm not a fan, Tom cannot be denied his due. Credit to him for continuing to win. He could potentially get a 7th ring (Gronk too). That's wild!

There were no teammates left from his first SB in his last SB win with the Patriots. It would be Gronk's 4th ring.

Basically an entire generation of NFL players have come and gone since Brady won his first SB. Winning his 7th will be the greatest accomplishment in US professional sports history. He actually already has that title even without a win.

Brady's golfing buddy is Trump. Brady as a person I find lacking. Trumpster and violating Covid-19 restrictions, not a great person.

And the '84 Niners who played in Stanford Stadium.
Maybe not their home "stadium", but they certainly played at home.

A whopping ten miles away, but certainly home team advantage by any measure.

Oh, Bill Walsh felt like he was home playing at Stanford.
