Always sounds weird... turns them into property. I know it is a business and all, but it just seems like a dehumanizing term.

I try not to take it too literally.

Think of it as short for "acquire the services of..."

2. Brutal loss for the Rockies

They have put out a horrible product for years. Great players come through here, get sick of losing and then go on to win championships w other teams. Countless examples.

Sickening for those of us in CO.
