CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - All 818 Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) schools will be voting from November 17-21 on whether or not to allow high school students to profit off their Name Image and Likeness (NIL).

Each school gets one vote, with the school principal submitting it to the OHSAA on behalf of the school. High school NIL failed in a similar vote in 2022, 538-254.

The vote is occurring now due to a lawsuit filed in Franklin County. The family of four star wide receiver and OSU recruit Jamier Brown.

The family claims they are losing out on hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential NIL deals as a result of Ohio’s laws
