After 28 months. Had a 24-month warranty from BJ's 😠 . Some type of Interstate battery, which I thought would be good. I've never had a battery die that fast... My other car had a alternator that was fading out and its battery still running strong after fixing the alternator.
They were unsympathetic. After a quick Google search... and another jump.... I ended up at the nearby Walmart, even though I hate Walmart. Supposedly their batteries are decent and it has a 3-year warranty. We shall see.
26 year old Ford truck, the other car is a 29 year old Toyota with 400k+ miles 😮

they replaced it free of charge
My only complaint is the warranty on the new one is only as long as the old one
IOW they start the warranty from the date of the first one , so Ill lose 5 months on the new one
😕
Good luck with yours

(6,062 posts)Since the replacement was under the warranty and there was no charge I can see the original warranty period would be applied. I had a battery from Batteries Plus that died after 2 years. They replaced the battery with a new one but charged me a fee, something like $54.00 and the replacement battery had a new full 3-year warranty. Was worth it in my book since the full price of the new battery would have been about $250.

(28,218 posts)Of replacement or my $ back .
If I had known their policy on warranty I would have gone for refund , repurchased and then got the full warranty time .
But I didnt know it would be shorter with replacement until after the fact .
✌🏻
Hopefully this one lasts longer than 2 years.

FDOT will not accept Interstate batteries. And they test Everything for over a year before giving their blessing.
Is tough on batteries....the heat is worse than cold, apparently. My sister lives there and needed a new battery while I was there. I went with her together and was surprised to learn that warranties there are shorter than warranties up North. So Floridians would know which batteries are good! I always thought interstate were good for some reason....not anymore. The people at BJ's asked me if I wanted to get a new one while I was there. Said "no thank you" & headed to the Walmart (I was reading up on them while I was waiting for managers and stuff).
