But again, in my puny world, Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow are a HUGE part of my MLB experience. That, and Jon Miller on the radio when I'm driving during a game.

The last time I went to a Giants home game it was still called Pac Bell park

My favorite stadium announcer was Roy Steele of the Coliseum.

Steele began announcing for the A’s in 1968, their first year in Oakland. He kept that post for 38 seasons, through six World Series and an All-Star Game, finally stepping aside from full-time duty after 2005. During that span of time he missed only five games total, and carried a streak of 1,093 consecutive games worked from 1990-2004, according to this 2010 profile by Monte Poole in the East Bay Times. He continued in a part-time capacity through 2008.

Years ago, I thought Jon Miller was an old fart, then I discovered he's my age and grew up listening to Russ Hodges and Lon Simmons on the radio, just like me.

He had a grand day with his stick, but admits he made a bombastic mistake rounding third and heading for home. Speaking of sticks, everyone was jabbing him with a stick and having fun with it; when Conforto advanced to third on a wild pitch later in the game, Krukow announced the fans were yelling at him to hold at third.

With Oracle Park's triple alley, don't be surprised if Conforto hits for the cycle this season.

But Tyler Rogers is good for one inning, day after day.

Hitters are starting to dial him in so his efficiency has been slipping.

You know his twin brother, Taylor, pitches for the Giants, too? Curiously, he's a southpaw.

I'm riffing on the time the Alou brother played the outfield for the Giants at the same time.

Felipe, Matty, and Jesús made history in 1963 by becoming the first instance of three brothers appearing as teammates in a major-league game.
