Is Shohei Ohtani the DH when he pitches for the Angels?

I don't watch Angels' games. Seems they wouldn't need a DH since he can definitely hit.

for at least one inning after he's finished pitching in the game, and that allows him to continue to hit, either as a fielder (if his turn comes up right after playing the field, for however long he does so) or as DH (if in subsequent innings after ceasing to play the field).

I THINK that's how it works.
