They certainly observe, as all of this territory is within 1 1/2 football field's scope, around my house.

They obviously looked for nesting place for themselves, and found 'this' one, on broken tree limb @ the river (along path.) They do like owl box roof; must be comfortable! Light there, with a view of the river and creek.
