Last year's osprey team looked experienced and highly competent. The two that wound up on the owl box seem more like first-timers. Last year, they would have gone after that goose in a precision run if she had dared try to usurp their nest. If the new twosome manage to get an egg or two laid, they'll both fly off at the same time and some other critter will gobble their eggs. That's if their precarious nest doesn't slide off the ^ shaped box they built it on.

At least the goose and gander did a good job with their brood.
