showed up yesterday. My trumpet vine hasn't flowered yet and that's what brings them around every year. But when I put seeds out yesterday for the other birds, I saw a hummer sitting on an overhead wire, just watching. So, I hung the juice feeder out. A couple hours later, there it was, sucking down the good water.

Today it's been raining constantly but it was out there anyway, having breakfast. I imagine it sat in the bush then and looked a lot like your lovely photos. I hope to get some myself, some day.

Yours is probably looking for a nesting place or has one already. You can watch and see if she returns to the same spot in the tree.
