I am the most unpleasant, rude, ignorant, and all-around obnoxious asshole

that anyone could possibly have the misfortune to meet. I am dismissive of the virtuous, unaware of the beautiful, and uncomprehending in the face of the happy.

Being a Patriots fan is unlike being a fan of any other wildly successful franchise. Nobody bandwagons this team. Nobody gloms on to this glory. If you’re a Patriots fan, it is something you are, and you are that way until the day you take your selfish, narcissistic, myopic, godawful last breath. I’ve canceled my therapy sessions. They’re not going to help.

1. And this is why nobody likes pats fans, or the patriots ...

I'm sure you fans, and your six rings, will find solace among your own ... as it should be.

If it helps at all, everybody hates the fucking Yankees, too.

7. Realistically probably won't happen till Beeelichek retires

He's an obnoxious hobgoblin in a weird hoodie, but he's also a coaching wizard - he could put up a winning season with me, my wife, a half-dozen random guys from the subway, and a few kindergarteners.

6. I'm actually old enough to not be an insufferable assclown

I remember pre-Belicheck, pre-Brady - the synthetic quote was wry and self-deprecating for sure, but I'm not an asshole. Unlike Brady. And Belicheck. And most of the fans born after 1984. So I usually just keep quiet about it.

Realistically, at this point it's more fun to troll the rest of the world about being a fan than actually winning, that gets so boring after a while

2. The volunteer crossing-guard at my elementary school was a Patriots fan...

And the kids at the school made fun of him for that very reason, because the Patriots were terrible back then (and that was awful, of course, b/c this retired dude was just trying to keep kids from getting killed by passing cars, and those same kids were being little shits about which team jacket he wore).

Now, you go to the same school today and none of them are clowning on the crossing guard for wearing a Pats jacket.

But according to you there are no bandwagon fans... So is your hypothesis that bandwagoniness only applies in the reverse, to haters, when it comes to the Pats?

5. It's a quote from Deadspin, with one from Sherlock.

FWIW I've been a fan since the Parcells-Bledsoe days...but these days I really am kind of ashamed to admit it, the under-40 Pats fans are the WORST.

"[Boston is] a city with a compulsive need to be an underdog paired with the most dominant football team in history. It has broken our feeble minds."

Something happened in New Orleans that was vigorously amusing (and remains so to this day)...
No matter what else happens, THAT happened in the Superdome and it was epic!

(*Yes, I AM salty about the game tonight, but remembering the look on Tony Eason's face in the 2nd quarter of that beating still brings an almost "joker-esque" smile to my face...)

For all the lean years. And to think I was pissed when they decided to stay with Brady over Bledsoe. Thats why I'm not a GM.

10. "At least Brady isn't Brees"

My Louisiana-born-and-raised wife, who hates Brady with the fire of a million suns, said that yesterday.

Conversion therapy, really?

11. I have a friend in New England who is a big Patriots fan.
Sat Sep 7, 2019, 07:07 PM
Sep 2019

He was when they sucked, buying up cheap season tickets. He said lots of other guys did the same thing and tried to get local friends to games to watch a sucky team. New Englanders are the same way about the Red Sox, even when they sucked, they sold out.

You don't need therapy. Just have a big steaming bowl of chowdah and one of the great micro-brews you people seem to have all over the place up there.

Well, the Columbus Bluejackets did ruin things for you, and the Red Sox may not make the playoffs this year, so there!!!

12. Someone said 42 year old Brady signed for $70M next two years..he earns every penny
Mon Sep 16, 2019, 11:23 AM
Sep 2019

and after signing A Brown, my son (5th grade teacher, Ret. Navy Chief 21 years) writes this past week,

"Let's discuss the Pats...well, my principal came to my room today...he's a Green Bay fan..."what's with all of the Patriots having all these relations without consent?" He asked...I answered that we had no idea Antonio Brown was accused of what he's accused of...but he's playing Sunday lol and we are the champs..eh....." - I said "great deflection, should be a politician"

Oops..week 2..43-ZIPPPPPPPPP..and Miami, and the Jets, always play us tough..hummmm…
