I'm not a Steam user so I'm a bit fuzzy on if this is just to play it today or if you get the game permanently and it's free today... Any Steam users know better?

1. It's free to buy until 10 AM PST tomorrow, you get to keep and play it. I bought it for $40

when it came out a couple of years ago.

Their servers seem to be overloaded at the moment.

if you already have it on xBox?

I just tried to confirm that it was free through my Steam client, and the server won't connect when I look for the game.
