Fox News host Gretchen Carlson mistakes atheists for Satanists

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/01/07/gretchen-carlson-mistakes-atheists-for-satanists/

Fox News host Gretchen Carlson was raked over the online coals on Tuesday for apparently conflating atheism with Satanism, just before one of her guests did the same.

Tuesday morning, Carlson previewed a segment on the Satanist Temple’s proposed Oklahoma Statehouse statue by posting on Twitter, “Atheists unveil Satan statue for OK capitol: smiling kids with goat-faced demon!” She subsequently deleted the tweet, but not before Atheism Tweets captured it:

Later, Carlson refused to apologize for her mistake, writing, “Stop the hate tweets. I made a simple mistake. Thx. [sic] I’m not stupid or asking everyone to believe in my God. Thx.”

In the ensuing discussion, American Atheists president David Silverman argued to Carlson that the Temple had the right to put up their display.

Those are the only categories she really recognizes.

I may have missed the explanation, so please forgive me . . . but I have to ask:

Does Fox clone their newsreaders? They all look the same. Vapid and slightly constipated.

So I have had the opportunity to watch some of it lately.

And, yes, they do look like clones - particularly the women.

It's a look that apparently appeals to their audience.

about a year and a half ago, Fox was the only national English-speaking channel available, so I managed to sit--or lie--through a couple 30-minute sections. I remember this particular airhead making particularly ignorant statements. After that it was the Monterrey channel till I got liberated.

She made the mistake of tweeting without having a TelePrompTer telling her what to say.

Anyway she probably just thinks they are really just factions of the same group - people who live in Athens that like the feel of satin. I mean who doesn't like satin, am I right?

I suspect that atheists or agnostics who practice Satanism as a lifestyle choice significantly outnumber people who actually believe in the Devil and worship him.
