Pat Robertson: God would have stopped the tornadoes had more people prayed

Makes sense to me. How many people is that, Pat? Why, enough people to convince God to stop the tornadoes.

In the aftermath of the tornadoes that devastated parts of the Midwest, television evangelist Pat Robertson is adding his two cents about the situation. Not enough people prayed, he said — because if they had, God would have intervened.

Exactly how many do you need for God to consider it a quorum? JaneQPublic Mar 2012 #1

Whether or not those adults need to be male depends on the level of orthodoxy the synagogue prefers.

Why isn't this crazy f**k not bouncing off padded walls, yet?

Shouldn't he be committed by now...especially with all the crazy shit he's said in the past!

Such a god both could and should, by definition, have stopped a whole host of disasters.

The newer kinder gentler sophisticated liberal believers who hang around here keep telling us that this is silly because their idea of a god doesn't go in for meddling miracles. Fair enough, but then the question must be asked: what use is a god like that to humanity? What do we get as part of the deal - the carrot for our reward? If God doesn't care, why bother with him at all? Especially as the same type of Christian shies away from the whole burn forever stick (and schtick) approach - if there's no stick and there's no carrot why give a crap either way about God even if you do believe?

I'm sure, Pat, that everyone caught in one of those tornadoes prayed.

Did the ones who's prayers were cut short due to their deaths.... did theirs count?

Some woman who yelled at a bunch of students in front of a school to go back inside.... thus saving them, said "I know that's why god put me there...." So why did god put the storms there in the 1st place? So this woman could save some people, but not others?
