"They last longer when you don't wash your clothes"

It's another long church council meeting

We're looking at next years budget, and somebody wonders when we'll need to replace the water heater

I say mine lasted forty years

The great-grandmother sitting beside me says, "Yeah, they last longer when you don't wash your clothes"

We had a peace line that met twice a week for years. At times it really ruffled the feathers of the villagers. One day a trustee who I have done quite a bit of committee work with heckled me by calling out 'hey Peace why aren't you home cooking and cleaning for your husband?' There were about 10 people with him and they all dropped their jaws, sucked air and waited ,thinking that I would surely belt something awful back at him. I laughed and said, 'hey Wes it's fine with you when I'm working for YOU for free!' The whole crowd just cracked up! It's a great memory and when we see each other we relive it. Expect to have your friend ask about your washer from time to time! Have a great day!
