Do you think that torturing a baby is ever justified?

Do you think that torturing a baby is ever justified?

Have you seen this rather well done movie?

They end asking about a God who tortures babies as God did to King David’s baby.
God also killed many innocent babies in his great flood as well as the innocent first born of Egypt.

Do you believe in a God that murders babies? Do you take it literally?

If you do not, then you are just posting flamebait which is one of the main reasons I rarely post in this forum anymore.

Murderer of children, yes.

I don't take the bible literally, and don't believe in any God, but I see a lot of people that do, and they embrace the concept of that monster, yes.

As a Gnostic Christian, all I am doing is following what your bible teaches.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.

Seems you like to think this other way.

God commands the dude to murder his own son, as a sacrifice to appease him. Then at the last minute, as the crazy fanatic bastard is actually about to do it, the angels show up and was like, "Dude stop, God was just screwing with you, he wanted to see if you were crazy enough to actually do it,... and apparently you are... just put the knife down and slowly back away."

That seems like a pretty dick move right there.. if some diety commanded I kill a kid... any kid let alone my own if I ever have one... I'd tell him to fuck himself, then try and figure out how to kill a god...

when her father murdered her as a sacrifice to that same god. According to the story in Judges 11, Jephthah is only upset because she was his only child, and after she died he would have no descendants. He doesn't seem to have any problem with the idea of human sacrifice in general, and one gets the impression that if it had been a servant (read: slave) who was murdered in this fashion, no one would repeat any stories about it and it wouldn't have been in the book at all.

how Jews and Christians are alike in following Gods they think are less than moral.

Jews admit to their God's immorality while Christians deny the immorality and thus show their own immorality as thy have to create a double moral standard where they forgive their vile God for doing the same things that they would condemn any man for doing.

Like torturing babies.

Jews have always been more intelligent about God than Christians.
