OK, let make April 9th national Surrender Monkey Day.

On April 9, 1865, Confederate General Robert E. Lee (1807-70) surrendered his approximately 28,000 troops to Union General Ulysses S. Grant

Nothing insulting about that either.

Last I heard about 8-10 churches throughout the state. The one near my house in Columbia SC is an old KMart. Based on the cars in the parking lot (all day Sunday it seems and Wednesdays) they must have 2-3,000 inside.
It's fundamentalist but has a very young crowd so it stays away from the Southern Baptist model. Half the service is rock music but from what I've heard they are quite controlling - like calling to "make sure you are OK" if you miss church.

They are probably the fastest growing group in the state and are noted for catering to teens and young couples.

On edit: if my earlier post wasn't clear, his church has 8-10 causes throughout the state.
