Franklin Grahamhttps://www.samaritanspurse.org/our-ministry/franklin-graham-biography/
Under his leadership, Samaritans Purse has met the needs of poor, sick, and suffering people in more than 100 countries. As an evangelist for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, he has led crusades around the world.
...He was born into a heritage rich in Christian ministry. By the time of Franklins birth, Billy Graham was already known around the world as a spiritual leader, but he wasnt the only spiritual giant in the family. Franklins maternal grandfather, Lemuel Nelson Bell, was a medical missionary to China for more than 20 years, a respected moderator of his denomination, the Presbyterian Church in the United States, and a co-founder and executive editor of Christianity Today.
At age 22, after a period of rebellion and traveling the world, Franklin committed his life to Jesus Christ while alone in a hotel room in Jerusalem. Soon after that, Dr. Bob Pierce, founder of Samaritans Purse (and World Vision), invited Franklin to join him on a six-week mission to Asia. It was during that time that Franklin felt a calling to work with hurting people in areas of the world affected by war, famine, disease, and natural disasters.
Certainly comes from a family with deep faith - it's just too bad his faith inspires him to be such a hateful bigot.

(6,075 posts)When you take the green pill, it's said, you become a much better person. You're filled with love and compassion and a desire to help others.
There are a lot of people who say they've taken the green pill, but somehow, they seem to still be the same mean-spirited hate-filled people they always were. They do seem to be very smug about having taken the green pill though.
Two possibilities: most people who say they've taken the green pill lie about it and never actually did, or...the green pill is just a sugar pill with no actual properties. People who take it don't actually change. If they were good before they stay good and if they were bad before, they stay bad.
I know what my answer is.

(49,533 posts)if the pill came with instructions that had been written long ago, translated and re-translated, that were completely contradictory about what the pill did and what its side effects were. And then people who acted differently after taking the green pill blamed each other for not reading the instructions properly.
