Trump Gives Evidence Of Being An Atheist!

From the short article:

President Trump made a great effort to attract the evangelical Christian community, and he seemed to have succeeded. But it appears that the evidence suggests that he is really an atheist.

A provocative piece. If Trump really is an atheist, perhaps he hides it because he realizes that, unfortunately, atheism IS treated as wrong by many in the faith community.

But considering that Trump is essentially a con man, the con might be his only real belief.

Every other breath he was either an atheist or a Muslim.

in that if asked about God he would say "I don't know and I don't care"

Then again he doesn't know about a lot of things, any believes in things that are demonstrably false.

A. He showed absolutely no knowledge of the Bible.

So? Plenty of Christians haven't read their bible much themselves, but rely on pastors and other church leaders to tell them what's in it. This has a long history going back to when the uneducated and illiterate masses relied on the priest class to educate them. Additionally, surveys have shown that most atheists are more knowledgeable about religion than religious people:
http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2010/09/28/130191248/atheists-and-agnostics-know-more-about-bible-than-religious

B. When he went to the National Day of Prayer all he could talk about was his former TV show.

Christians don't ever talk about themselves?

C. He has not attended worship since he has been in the White House nor has he attended services in Florida.

Got news for ya - if that's a sign of someone not being a Christian, then most Christians in the USA aren't Christian.

D. But most obviously he does not believe in Heaven or a final judgment as described in the New Testament as his budget is a complete attack on all the things that Jesus suggested will get you into heaven.

This is perhaps the most problematic of them all. Many liberal, tolerant Christians don't believe in a "final judgment" of any kind. They don't believe in hell; they think everyone goes to heaven. This is suggesting that those Christians aren't Christians either. Do you agree?

...so what? It wouldn't be the first time a total asshole didn't believe in god, and I doubt it would be the last.

But we both know what's really going on with this OP. It's a (not especially) clever trap to make atheists look like hypocrites by dismissing Donald Trump's supposed non-belief while continuing to take the RCC to task for, you know, raping children and covering it up. The trouble is -- and is it telling that the OP doesn't seem to realize this -- is that atheism isn't a church, or a religion, or a moral philosophy. It only describes whether or not one accepts or rejects claims of the existence of deities. That's it.

Atheism describes my lack of belief in deities. Secular Humanism describes my ethics. Donald Trump may very well be the former, but he sure as shit isn't the latter.

All it will be used to do is categorize and marginalize us as soon as a prominent atheist does something wrong.

An attempt to dismiss our individuality.
