On his “TruNews” television program last night, End Times broadcaster Rick Wiles declared that the recent string of sexual harassment and assault allegations involving famous and powerful men is a direct result of the “godless society” created by the left.

Wiles said that America’s Christian morality has been under relentless attack by the “political left” ever since prayer and Bible-reading were removed from public schools in the 1960s.

“The left has viciously waged a war against Christianity in America for over 50 years,” he said. “You, the left, you demanded that children not read the Bible in schools. You demanded that nobody in public schools pray to Jesus Christ. You, the left, you demanded the removal of the Christian cross and Ten Commandments from public buildings and town squares and city parks. You, the left, you demanded a godless secular society, void of biblical morality.”

Using the news media, the entertainment industry, academia and the internet, Wiles said, the left has “systematically indoctrinated tens of millions of children and teens and young adults to embrace atheism or Eastern religions.”

Whatever you say, Ricky. This is really no different than the RCC excusing child molestation on the "loosening morals of society" in the 60s and 70s.

Wiles sounds like just another asshole with media attention. His assertions are wrong on so many levels it'd take a book to explain (thank you, Frank Schaeffer, for doing much of that work!). These kinds of ascertains that Wiles makes concern me because his ideas lead to oppression and violent control over people, not the paradise he peddles to the masses. They long for the days they could string people up and torture them for blasphemy. "Blasphemy"... now there's a concept for the "God-full" society. Care to live under those kind of laws?
