This is not a parody, it is on CBS, not some fundy Christian channel, CBS.

A podcast-hosting, self-proclaimed "pesky atheist who wants to make you think" (Brandon Micheal Hall) isn't so sure what to think when he's friended by God on Facebook and then poked to help strangers for reasons that aren't immediately clear. The truth is there's more to this story than our hero or anyone else knows.
Fucking dirty atheists, this will teach em.

That they are closed minded to the reality of the loving Creator that runs the Universe.
Silly, stupid atheists.

(118,282 posts)The objective of advertising is to convince people that they have needs they can satisfy through certain purchases
This is typically accomplished by fostering some sense of existential anxiety, followed by suggestions that certain forms of spending will effectively resolve the anxiety
In particular, the programming must not provide viewers with any effective techniques for reducing anxiety, because that would undermine the commercial messages
So broadcast media do not teach viewers to live happier and more productive lives without increased consumption: instead the programming will teach viewers entirely ineffective responses to life's problems, while the advertising propagandizes the actions sponsors hope viewers will actually take

(118,282 posts)In 2009, according to Gallup, Americans still opposed same-sex marriage 57% to 40%
From 1998 to 2012, about 30 states voted to ban same-sex marriage
The US Supreme Court ruling occurred in 2015
Will and Grace began its second run in 2017
It doesn't seem Will and Grace played any decisive role here
