An Inconvenient Quote

from the Bible. Okay, there are hundreds (thousands) of inconvenient statements in the Bible, but this one seems to apply to the current Administration:

From Isaiah 5:20:

"Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter."

Of course, Isaiah's definition of "evil" is drinking and having fun. Act_of_Reparation Jul 2018 #3

and vary according to circumstances. Planning to murder someone and then setting out to do it is generally considered Evil, but it isn't always so. For example, it was Good for Abraham to attempt to murder his son, because God ordered him to do it and obedience to God is always Good. If Abraham had told God to get stuffed, when God told him to go murder his son, that would have been Evil.
