ALL Muslims should renounce their religion immediately in favour of Christianity or atheism - it would be better for them and for everyone else, controversial Dutch politician Geert Wilders said in Melbourne on Tuesday.

Insisting politely that he did not want to incite or offend anyone, the anti-Islam campaigner described the prophet Muhammad as ''a warlord, terrorist and paedophile'' and urged Australia to ban the Koran and all migration from Muslim countries.

Told that Premier Ted Baillieu had advised Victorians to ignore him, Mr Wilders said the Premier could ignore the threat of Islam and ''sing Kumbaya'' all day long, but the voters would wake up eventually.

Mr Wilders was speaking to the assembled media at a secret location 40 minutes' drive north-west of Melbourne, of which they were notified only in the morning.

The Islamophobia in certain parts of Europe and Australia can't be ignored.

the same thing in practically every christian church on the planet, that christianity is the only true religion and without it you are going to hell when you die.

I can hear the same thing at the baptist church 2 blocks away.

This man preaches hate and is a rabid Islamophobe. Christianity does not teach this worldwide. It is not said in practically every christian church on the planet.

And I am not going to let this member take a crap in this group without pointing it out.

between wanting everyone to convert to your religion, and encouraging political intolerance of specific religious minority groups. Some Christian preachers do both (e.g. Terry Jones); some do only the first; some do neither.

Wilders is atheist or perhaps agnostic; he is not interested in whether Muslims follow the 'true religion' - he is interested in why Foreigners are so Foreign, and in whipping up hostility to Muslim immigrants to the Netherlands. Just like the BNP and English Defence League in the UK.
