Do your shoes have a religion?

The religion of various shoes seems to be a hot topic on DU recently

They have long held a symbolism for me that is negative. They are very expensive, ugly and seemed to be used as some kind of status symbol for a long time.

But, I have a problem with my feet and it has been highly recommended that I wear them.

So I praise them and pray to them that they will resolve some of my problems, lol.
